Are you mad?
Are you angry?
Are you sad?
Are there times you want to cry?
Do you want to throw shit?
Do you want to call her up and let her have it for doing you wrong?
Well you can’t because you are supposed to be a strong black man. You are not allowed to have feelings, you are not allowed to cry, you are not allowed to say how you feel, hell you cannot express yourself because you are supposed to be a strong black man.
Just take that loss and keep it moving.
See, society has fucked us up, and as a black man I feel what my fellow black men are going through.
I know what it’s like to be used, strung along, being called a “sensitive ass nigga”, or have your fucking time wasted because the woman you were seeing was no good and her shitty side came out months later. I’ve been there but I couldn’t say damn thing. I just had to hold that “L” and lift it high. I am not going to lie I wanted to be angry, I wanted to tear up some shit, I wanted to even cry but I couldn’t because society says men aren’t supposed to cry, were not supposed to care, we are not supposed to be angry, we may as well be robots.
However, Black men, it’s time to let it out. Don’t hold back on how you feel, let the woman who hurt you know that what she did was wrong, get angry (without being violent), you deserve to be at peace with yourself.
There was an old saying that “pressure busts pipes”. Why allow all the pain, sadness, anger, animosity, to harbor in your mind to cause you to have a breakdown?
LET IT OUT BLACK MAN.
JUST KNOW THAT STRONG PEOPLE GET ANGRY SOMETIMES, CRYING IS NOT A SIGN OF WEAKNESS, IT’S TIME TO STOP LETTING WHAT SOCIETY TELLS YOU WHAT TO DO AND BE HUMAN.
ALSO YOU ARE STILL A BLACK MAN AND A STRONG BLACK MAN
